License and Affiliate Disclosures
(This page is black on white in case you need to print it out, sorry for blinding you if you were expecting a dark page.)
What’s this section about?
There are certain things I monetize that I think I should disclose to you or that I’m obligated to disclose to you.
Disclosures:
Squarespace Affiliate Disclosure
This disclosure is here as a placeholder. I haven’t set up Squarsepace affiliate stuff yet.
If you use my Squarespace Affiliate Program link or code, I might get a comission. You can learn more about the terms of the Squarespace affiliate program here: https://www.squarespace.com/affiliates
Amazon Affiliate Disclosure
This disclosure is here as a placeholder. I haven’t set up Amazon Associates yet.
As an Amazon Associate, I earn commission from qualifying purchases.
I use Amazon Affiliate links on my website and social media pages to make some extra money. The Amazon Affiliate program is a referral commission program. This means that if someone clicks one of my links, goes to Amazon, and makes a purchase, I might get some money. You can learn more about the Amazon Affiliate program here:

Amazon Affiliate Disclosure FAQ:
Q: What is the Amazon Affiliate program?
Hubspot can explain this better than I can: https://blog.hubspot.com/sales/amazon-affiliate
Q: Why do you use Amazon Affiliate links?
A: Because most of my audience uses Amazon anyway.
Q: Does this mean you work for Amazon?
A: No.
Q: Do you know exactly who I am and what I buy when I use your affiliate links?
A: I don’t know your identity, but I can see what was purchased with my affiliate link. If you buy $100 of jellybeans, I can see that somebody used my affiliate link to buy $100 of jellybeans. I won’t know it’s you unless you tell me.
Q: Do you get free stuff from Amazon or sellers in exchange for being an affiliate?
A: I personally don’t. I have been offered things for free, in exchange for reviews, by Amazon sellers in the past, but I haven’t taken anyone up on it. If I do take anyone up on it, I will disclose clearly that I received a product for free.
Q: Have you bought every item you link to on Amazon, and have you bought each of those items from Amazon?
A: No. Sometimes, I’ll link to things I want or just think are neat. Sometimes, I’ll post a link to something I purchased somewhere other than Amazon, but the item might happen to also be sold on Amazon.
Sixth History Community License Disclosure
I make a lot of content based on Weather Factory games, namely, Cultist Simulator, Book of Hours, and probably Traveling at Night when it comes out. I can monetize this content legally under the Sixth History Community License, which can be read in its entirety here: https://weatherfactory.biz/sixth-history-community-licence/
I don’t work for Weather Factory, haven’t worked for Weather Factory, and purchased all their content myself. The copies were not gifted to me.
The boilerplate verbiage from that webpage has been adapted below:
